U.R.S. paints up Queen West
North and south side between Bathurst to Trinity Bellwoods Park more or less.
Nice work.
I know it's an old post, but this is awesome. I am in Washington DC, and although we have a very active and engaged bicyclist community, too many of them are too straight edged to get militant. I have found myself groaning in agony every time some bike advocate blog announces some meeting with like a representative from the roads and a neighborhood group, with the intention of formalizing a six month plan to investigate the possibility of a contraflow study to commence in three years. drives me absolutely crazy.
two questions: how did you get the lines so straight, and how busy are those roads? I will be following suit once the weather warms up. for sure.
From what I saw the lines were done by hand and not all that straight really but close enough. My photos make them looker a bit straighter. The roads are very busy indeed. But I think the group used safety vests and lots of courage. ;-)
I love this. City politicians are never going to piss off the majority of their constituents - who are drivers - so they'll happily study it to death instead of taking action. This is not being militant, it is more like group-self-defense.
